Allan Sekula: The Forgotten Space | A Film by Allan Sekula and Noël Burch
Warren Auditorium in SOLES

Nowhere else is the disorientation, violence, and alienation of contemporary capitalism more manifest than in the globalization of the sea, but this truth is not self-evident, and must be approached as a puzzle, or mystery, a problem to be solved.

The Forgotten Space is based on Allan Sekula’s massive long-term project Fish Story, seeking to understand and describe the contemporary maritime world in relation to the complex symbolic legacy of the sea.

The Forgotten Space won a Special Orizonti Jury Prize at the 2010 Venice Film Festival.
