Alright, big weekend for San Diego Arts has arrived… and already started for many. I wanted to get my EVENTS list in order, and I thought I would share. There are lots of things happening away from the fair, but I am excited about the actual art fair-proper as well. I will be inside the fair daily mini-reporting on my favorites.

Thursday, 9/1

4-5pm, Perspectives: Mike Calway-Fagen, a discussion of Mike Calway-Fagen, MCASD La Jolla

5-9pm, Summer Salon Series at SDMA: Virtual Cities and Utopian Visions: Light Sculptures, Video Projections, Poetry Reading & Music Performance at San Diego Museum of Art, Balboa Park In response to this year’s Summer Salon Series theme–What does a city need? Featuring: Ela Boyd, Joshua Tonies, Wendell Kling, Kate Farris, Ilya Kaminsky + last Agitprop reading of the summer

8-10pm, San Diego Art Fair Activities:@ the Hilton: Exploding Tattoo: Anna Stump and Ted Meyer @ the Pool Deck at the Hilton (unsure if you need special admission to see as is part of the Art Fair)
