These tables were commissioned by the restaurant for an outdoor patio on which food would be grown that patrons could “harvest” themselves for the chef to prepare. ┬áThe tables are made of concrete, redwood and copper hardware recycled from a cooling tower at a steel mill in cleveland that was scheduled to be demolished. ┬áNot only a nice surface to have a meal on, but also an apt metaphor of the transition from an industrial economic use to a service-base one.
