These tables were commissioned by the restaurant for an outdoor patio on which food would be grown that patrons could “harvest” themselves for the chef to prepare.  The tables are made of concrete, redwood and copper hardware recycled from a cooling tower at a steel mill in cleveland that was scheduled to be demolished.  Not only a nice surface to have a meal on, but also an apt metaphor of the transition from an industrial economic use to a service-base one.
